Lastage Table
Lastage Table
The top of this piece is made entirely from rescued live oak offcuts from larger projects. Our design exploration in aluminum gave us the opportunity to utilize these effectively, resulting in full table tops that use only scrap material and resin. Jessie milled and determined placement for each “tile” before casting them in epoxy to create a cohesive whole that feels like art in itself.
We adapted the aluminum plate fabrication concepts used in our larger tables to smaller pieces, utilizing the same metal mortice and screw tapping methods, and utilizing spare space on the aluminum sheet to minimize waste.
The joints and mortises used here are designed for disassembly and re assembly, creating modular and universal bases for any material.
