We crafted this table using Live Oak sourced from Pasadena. Jon constructed the tabletop, skillfully laminating individual boards to create a seamless surface. Jessie crafted the legs using compound angle joints. Chris then turned the leg on a lathe, achieving a refined shape and smooth finish. For the finisher, we applied a urethane sealer requested by the client that enhances the wood's natural beauty, and keeps a lighter and cooler color as opposed to an oil based finish which tends to bring out warmer tones in the wood. To address imperfections, we filled in the tabletop with boat epoxy, providing a durable solution and contributing to the clean lines and surface transitions of the table design.
